NAFC Not Forgotten™ Military Scholarship
NAFC 501(c)(3) Status
NAFC was approved in 2016 by the 9-11 GI-Bill for reimbursement to veterans for the “test-out” of NAFC Programs/Certifications. NAFC has partnered with multiple organizations who have guaranteed the hiring of all veterans that go through the NAFC certification process.
NAFC Non-Profit’s ‘Not Forgotten Foundation’ has donated thousands of dollars of programming in scholarships and partial scholarships to support not only veterans working with the Wounded Warrior Project, but for all veterans who have qualified for GI-Bill reimbursement.
NAFC Non-Profit’s Not Forgotten project is dedicated to helping our soldiers transition back into society in a productive career, focused on health, wellness and healthy lifestyle choices. NAFC non-profit recognizes the sacrifices made by our veterans. We also recognize the value of the specialized training they have received while in the military, which not only has prepared them for the defense of our Country, but can also be directed towards a meaningful contribution to the growing health care needs that our American society so desperately requires.
NAFC Non-Profit has combined efforts with Yoga for Men in support of research that demonstrates the benefits of Yoga and exercise for returning veterans who have some form of emotional, psychological or mental disorder.
The Health, Wellness and Fitness industry has an incredible need for Fitness and Wellness professionals. Of the 500,000 plus certified fitness professionals in this country only a very small percentage find their way into a lasting career. The industry demand for fitness professionals is unending. The attrition of fitness professionals is extremely high. The reason stems from poor educational training and a lack of career development. NAFC has dedicated itself to raising the bar on fitness education, application, and career development. NAFC celebrates the compatibility between our transitioning veterans and the growing need for fitness professionals.
NAFC Non-Profit needs your help in providing the necessary education and career development to bring our veterans back into society. According to a VA study and report, 22 veterans commit suicide every day. Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, a non-profit advocacy group representing more than 200,000 members, said the nation should be “outraged” by rate of veterans who are taking their own lives — nearly one per hour.
We have failed to focus enough concern and direction on helping our heroes…those who protect us and our Country, transition back into society in relevant and meaningful ways that utilize their skills to bring meaning back into their lives.
You can help NAFC help our veterans, not only by making a meaningful and relevant contribution in transitioning our veterans back into society, you can also help us supply the growing demand for Fitness and Wellness professionals who can aid the growing number of individuals in our society with multiple, chronic health conditions.
We need our veterans, just as they need us. NAFC Non-Profit cannot do this on its own. We need your help.
Please share this cause with everyone in your social networks. It goes a long way in helping us fund and expand our outreach. Thank you!
